NetSuite to Quickbooks

Converting from NetSuite can be daunting. It is an extremely robust piece of software designed for complex business needs. The NetSuite team is very good at convincing people that they cannot or should not leave NetSuite, and scaring them away from more affordable and user friendly options. NetSuite also tries to lock-in business data, and can make it extremely difficult to retrieve your own business data (like custom lists and past orders) from the accounting system you paid for.

Furthermore, depending on how long you’ve been in business there may be several GB of data. NetSuite is not a 1-to-1 match with QuickBooks, so it can be confusing to determine how to match up data in your existing NetSuite instance with the appropriate fields in Quickbooks.

Converting from NetSuite to Quickbooks is not a trivial process but is by no means impossible. Most of the NetSuite transaction types are supported by Quickbooks with the exception of a few transaction types (mainly amortization schedules and revenue schedules). Also Quickbooks does not allow payroll to be imported and so payroll is converted as Journal Entries. The rest of the process is fairly smooth and remarkably accurate.
